Coffee has always been part of our lives. Over time, visiting coffee shops became something more — a reason to explore somewhere new, slow the pace, and spend uninterrupted time together.
For him, life is usually moving. Skiing, watersports, camping, hiking, biking, running, travel and more hobbies than anyone could reasonably keep track of. A Managing Director by day and unwind seeker by nature, slowing down hasn't always come naturally.
Coffee became part of that balance. A café at the end of a bike ride. A great shop discovered while traveling. A quiet cup after a morning outside. Sometimes the shop is the destination. Sometimes it's where the next adventure begins.
Together, these small trips became a way of reconnecting — choosing experiences built around conversation, exploration, well-being and simply being present.
Traveling into the countryside of the Dominican Republic deepened an appreciation that was already there. Seeing the land, people and process behind coffee gave us a new respect for the remarkable journey a bean takes before reaching the cup in front of us.
